News Update – 29/09/2023
Dear Parent / Guardian / Colleague / Board Member,
Start of Year Mass: Due to Storm Agnes, this has been rescheduled to Wed 4th Oct in Fourmilewater at 10 am.
Free Book Scheme: Thanks to the families that participated in our Book Scheme Survey last week, we had a 44% engagement rate. 89% of those surveyed, believed the rollout to be excellent, 9% very good and 2% good.
On the second question, whether we communicated clearly the items which were to be provided by the school and by the family; 95.6% Yes 4.4% No. Thanks for the associated comments. We await further announcements from the Dept of Education, before formulating an updated plan for summer 2024. Thanks to all involved.
Enrolment: Ballymacarbry N.S. will commence taking applications for Admission from Sunday 1st October 2023 for those wishing to enroll pupils at our school in September 2024. Form 1 can be requested from the school 052 6136349 or is available to download on our website https://www.ballymacns.com/enrolment/ Please complete and return at your earliest convenience. We will be in touch once the application process closes.
Parents’ Association: Best wishes to Aoife, Catherine and Caroline as they take up their roles within the P.A. Officer Board and plan for a new year of activities, assisting the school and its pupils. Thanks to Therese and Theresa who leave as officers after sterling work on your behalf.
Sacramental Preparation: If you have a child or children in either Rg 2 or Rg, 6 please check the following link to our website to view dates of upcoming ceremonies in advance of Communion and Confirmation. Dungarvan Library: Sarah from Dungarvan Library called to our school on Wednesday to present certificates to our pupils who engaged with them over the summer in their Summer Stars Reading Programme. Well done to Abbie, Kaden, Donnacha, Jack, Aimee, Saorlaith, Gavin, Ollie, Harry and Donagh. See photo on our Facebook page.
Ladies Co Final: Today we celebrated ‘Blue & White Day’ at School in recognition of our local ladies and their quest for another Co Senior Football Title. Best wishes to all our past players and management team including current player Miss Boyce. The game is scheduled for Sunday 1st October at 4pm in the Lemybrien venue.
