“Schools are asked to cooperate with the National Council for Special Education in the performance by the Council of its functions under the Education for Persons with Special Educational Needs Act 2004 relating to the provision of education to children with special educational needs, including in particular by the provision and operation of a special class or classes when requested to do so by the Council. Ballymacarbry N.S. will comply with any direction served on the patron or the board, as the case may be, under section 37A and any direction served on the board under section 67(4B) of the Education Act.”

Santa Visit – Santa will be calling to the Nire Christmas Fair this Sunday at 3:30 pm at the Nire Hall. The Fair will run from 2pm until 5 pm and all are welcome.

Advent (Week 2 Love) On Monday we will light our second candle or Bethlehem Candle, is also usually purple or violet. It reminds us of the Holy Family’s experience in Bethlehem. The colour of the second Advent candle is associated with royalty and reminds us that Christ is the “King of Kings.” We await the coming of a new king from Bethlehem.

Is mise,

Michael J. O’ Ryan – Principal
