News Update – 03/05/2022

Dear Parent / Guardian, Colleague & Board Member,

This week:

Our school tours commenced in earnest with junior infants and the boys and girls from Rang 2 venturing to Ardmore Open Farm. Thanks to their teachers and helpers. All reports back from the pupils were very favourable and it was also commented upon how mannerly the children were.

Our senior classes are currently in University of Limerick Sports Campus and are shortly heading to Dooradoyle to the Crescent SC. Contact will be made with parents via text message later this evening.

Yesterday our 5th Class pupils and their teacher went to Raheen College, Clonmel for taster classes in advance of them deciding their secondary school of choice.

Standardised testing for senior infants through Rang 6 is approaching completion and the results will be forwarded via our Annual School Report in mid – late June.

Hard luck to our hurlers on losing the Western “A” final to Lismore on Wednesday night. It was a great achievement getting to the two finals and indeed winning the Girls Football Roinn A. Thanks to Mrs Byrne and parent / FMW Club member Aidan Ryan who helped with team affairs.

Next week:

There will be no school on Monday due to it being a bank holiday.

Maureen Purcell (Artist) will help commence rejuvenating our school mural along with the pupils of Rg 6

Our Rg 6 will have their R.S.E. Day on Wednesday next in school.

Ms Dunlea’s class will travel to Waterford on Friday for their School Tour.

P.E. Uniforms

From Tuesday next pupils are allowed to wear P.E. uniform for the remainder of term. Please be advised that branded tracksuits are not part of our uniform.
