Start of Year Mass – Fr Michael celebrated our Start of Year Mass on Wednesday morning. Thanks to all who helped organise and indeed participated in the ceremony.

Sacramental Preparation – Please Note. There has been one change in the Sacramental Calendar for Rang 2 this Autumn. Please check the revised edition here. Revised Sacramental Calendar Autumn 2023 Spring 24

 

Clonmel Running – Trials were held this week to see who would represent us at the Clonmel Athletic Club’s Cross Country Meet next week in Clonmel. We will travel to the new TUS Sports Hub on Wed 11th Oct. There will be a €5 charge for the bus. Thanks to the Parents’ Association who will sponsor the cost of participation for each of our athletes. Please bring football boots or old runners for training on Monday, if participating Rg 3/6.

 

Cumann na mBunscol – Both our Boys and Girls’ teams made it through to the Western Semi Finals of the INTO Football Competition in Cappoquin yesterday. Semi Finals are scheduled to be played next week. Well done and best of luck to players, staff and coaches involved. Hopefully the weather won’t be as inclement the next day.

 

Banna Ceoil – Members of Miss Kelly’s Banna Ceoil are asked to bring their musical instruments on Thursdays going forward.

 

Maths Curriculum In-service – We have been informed that our school will have an in-service day between Halloween and Christmas to facilitate the rollout of the new Maths Curriculum. Parents will be notified at our earliest opportunity.

 

BoM – The Dept of Education has given the go ahead for the formation of new Boards of Management (2023/27). These will come into effect from 1st Dec 2023. Our Patron has suggested that we start the process as soon as possible. More on this issue next week.

 

Ladies County Final – Well done to Miss Boyce, and all our past pupils from the Ballymacarbry Ladies panel on winning the Waterford Senior Football County Final on Sunday last against Comeragh Rangers in Lemybrien after extra time. Thrilling contest. Maith sibh!
