News Update – 19/03/2021

Dear Parent / Guardian / Colleague / Board Member,

Back to School. I hope you all had an enjoyable St. Patrick’s Day mid week. School has progressed well since full reopening and even though families are remaining cautious and vigilant we still had an attendance rate of 96.7% throughout the school. Let’s hope we can progress until Easter and far beyond.

Gofundme. Thanks to those staff, pupils and families who donated to our Non Uniform Day in conjunction with The Naomi Mulcahy Fundraiser and St Patrick’s Day. It was an overwhelming success. €500 will be pledged to the gofundme page established in her name in the next few days. We wish Naomi well and a full and speedy recovery.

Departure. Miss Coleman, our Rang 3 teacher, leaves us next weekend. We thank her for her tremendous work at our school since September and wish her well at Scoil Ghearbhain, Dungarvan. We will welcome back Miss Denmead after Easter to deputise.

Buddy Bench. Thanks to our caretaker Jim who painted our buddy bench on the junior yard this week. It really is a colourful piece of furniture now. Thanks to Kevin Sheehan Carpenter for donating it to us some years back.

Enrolment. Enrolment Application Forms for next year’s cohort of Junior Infants are being distributed this weekend. If applicable, please ensure that you fully complete and return by 1st April 2021.

Easter Holidays. Reminder, School will break for Easter on Friday next 26th March at 12:30 pm. School will reopen on Monday 12th April at 9:20 am.

Le gach dea ghuí.
