Dear Parent / Guardian / Colleague / Board Member,

In my final weekly update I just want to thank you all for your cooperation this past year. It has been a stressful year for pupils, parents, families and staff members alike. We will be all the stronger as a result.

This week – We said goodbye to our 28 Rang 6 pupils on Wednesday, when we streamed their Graduation Ceremony live from their classroom. Thanks for the positive feedback. That evening we welcomed a new cohort of new Junior Infants and their parents to our Virtual Open Evening. The wheels of Education never stop turning. We also had a final excursion with Rang 6 to the Lakes and Rang 2 got to go on their School Tour to Parson’s Green.

Slán – Today we said goodbye to Mr McGrath and Ms Niamh Walsh. Seán has been with us these past two years while Niamh joined us in September 2020. We thank both for their excellent contribution to the school and the pupils under their care and wish them well over the summer in attaining employment elsewhere. Go n-éirí an bother libh.

Booklists. Important

A revised set of booklists has been posted online today. It is accessible on our website. www.ballymacns.com Please refer to this as the final draft, as there were changes made to some classes today. Please pay particular attention to relevant teacher and class, especially if your child has Ms Dunlea, Mr Earley or Mrs Coffey, as these teachers have two booklists each.

Sacraments – As of now, Confirmation is scheduled for Sun 11^th July (11 am in FMW and 2 pm in Touraneena) Next year’s Rang 3 will make their First Holy Communion on the last weekend in September.

Hoodies – Rose will be in touch with Rg 6 parents this weekend in relation to the distribution of Class of 21 Hoodies.

Summer contact – We will be in touch again in mid August via email as regards what the new school year will be like. Our In school Management Team ISM will meet to discuss latest advice from Government / HSE & DES

Open Evening – We will also host a physical Open Evening for New Entrants on Thursday 26^th August at the School.

New Academic Year – For your information school will open for pupils on Tues 31st Aug 2021 for 9:20am
