Confirmation – Congratulations to our Rg 6 boys and girls who received the Sacrament of Confirmation at both Fourmilewater and Touraneena churches yesterday. Bishop Alphonsus Cullinan officiated and was assisted by Fr Michael. A retreat was held in school on Tuesday and hosted by Fr Patrick and his team from the Holy Family Mission, Glencomeragh and we were joined by pupils and staff from both neighbouring Newcastle and Touraneena schools. I must say that our pupils performed very well indeed at both ceremonies and we are very proud of them. (We couldn’t tell them today.) Thanks to Fr Michael, Mrs Byrne, Miss Clodagh Kelly, our Banna Ceoil, Fiona & Kay, Brendan the Sacristan and indeed James and Callum, altar servers for the occasion.
